This is a walkthrough of a typical digital painting. This was created for PSFX (s12.invisionfree.com/PSFX), and I apologize to those who were waiting for far too long for this tutorial to arrive. I hope it's worth the wait.
Sorry for the slightly confusing layout. I spent more time on the painting itself than the tutorial. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone out there. Enjoy!
Actually, it's just that I've never tried to paint from background to forground. I shall try that when I have time. We should get toghether and have a paiting session soon and find out if I'm a worthy artist. Lol. Seriously, that'd be interesting.

Do you know how in marketing, the names of products should be short and catchy? The Ford Mustang, the Big Mac,... etc.. And then there's this: the Tamron AF 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di LD Aspherical IF SP
Thanks! Yup, working from background to foreground is a good way. And if you don't like the background, you can always modify it later since it's on its own layer. A lot of artists do this.
I'm available pretty much whenever you are. Just name the day!

Very nice! Much better and more involved than your first one (PSFX).
One question (U no me, ive always got questions : U say to paint with a scrubbing motion? Do u mean back and forth or all strokes in one direction (paint, lift, paint, lift....)
Ah, good question. I meant all in one stroke. If you pick up the stylus between overlapping strokes, you'll end up with ugly banding. But don't go for too long on one stroke, because the computer may get frustrated and give up.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
